My name is Lucky. And I am a Dungeon Master.
I think in a past life I was a svirfneblin mushroom farmer. I have been playing this game since 1982. In fact, I was so young when I started playing, I took all of my first edition books and adventures and colored in the pictures when I wasn’t playing. If you wanted to measure my lifelong addiction to RPG in Malcolm Gladwell terms, I’ve blown out the 10,000 hour mark about four times over.
Started with the 1980 Basic Set (red cover) in a family game around the dinner table with B2 Keep on the Borderlands. Since then I’ve played consistently and often, so much so that I can hardly throw a baseball or do my taxes. I had other priorities in life. I am currently a writer and living in Australia, but I still find time and a means to host a weekly game with my two lifelong players back in America (and sometimes London).
I’ll primarily write about the games that I actively play (or played in the past), which include:
- All editions of D&D
- d20 Modern
- The Palladium Multiverse
- Marvel Superheroes
- Mutants & Masterminds
I’m very opinionated and I don’t shy away from expressing it. Oh yeah, most importantly – I say drow as throw, not drow as in now. And I refuse to change. Not even for Gary Gygax’s ghost.
